Aims: The Child Brain Injury Trust (Cbit) supports children, young people and families affected by an acquired brain injury to enable them to achieve their potential.
What we do:
Co-ordinate support groups for families, children and young people across the UK
Consult with families in order to develop information resources and to influence the strategic planning of the organisation
Offer activity holidays for brothers and sisters
Provide a small grants scheme for children and young people ("Hand Up")
Email and telephone helplines (local rate call)
Educational video and CD Rom
Storybooks for children and young people
Publications for families and professionals
Conferences, family events and training seminars for teachers, health professionals and parents
Provide a website with easy to use and practical information for parents and professionals
