Aims: Bristol Homeless to Home
Shelter has been running a floating support service for homeless or unsettled families in Bristol since 1998.

We can support any family where there is a level of vulnerability and who requires housing related support. A family is defined as a household with a dependant child or a pregnant woman.

The family can be living in any type of tenancy. We can support with resettlement or in the prevention of homelessness.

We currently have vacancies and are seeking referrals from other agencies

Keys to the future Bristol Children's service
This is a new service, which will assess and meet the developmental needs of homeless or unsettled children in Bristol

The service is working in partnership with Bristol City Council Family Homelessness team and Children and Young People's services to ensure that the service acts as a safety net under all homeless or unsettled children in the city; that their needs are identified and addressed quickly in order to prevent further problems in the child's later life.

This service is a 3 year pilot and is one of the first where there is a 3 way partnership with voluntary and statutory services supporting homeless or unsettled children

The service can take referrals from any professional who identifies a child who has needs due to it's family housing situation. We are currently seeking referrals for this service.
