Costs: School fees are charged for attendace at BGS. From September 2007 in the Lower School these will be £1990 per term, in the Upper School £3099 per term. There are three terms in the school year. BGS can offer means-tested fees assistance to students hoping to join the school. Early application is advised as demand frequently exceeds the funds available.

Aims: Bristol Grammar School is a selective, independent day school for students between the ages of 7-18. The Lower School for 7-11, the Senior School for 11-16 and the Sixth Form for 16-18 year old students. Compulsory subjects for 11 to 16 years (GCSE level) are English, maths, science and a foreign language. Other GCSEs are also available. There is a broad range of subjects that can be taken at both AS and A2 level. The school also provides a range of after school activities.
