Aims: The Family Placement Team recruits and supports foster carers, adopters and family link carers (respite care for disabled young people). We also offer a service for adoptive families who wish to adopt from abroad. As part of our support to foster carers we offer respite activities for both Looked After Children and the birth children of foster carers. We provide a post adoptive service for all the people affected by adoption. This includes the provision of a counselling service to adopted adults who are searching for their birth relatives. We hold all the adoption files for people who were adopted through B&NES since 1947.

Availability: Drop-in, Referral, Appointment
Referral by: Any professional or memeber of the public

From time to time our need for adoptive families is less therefore we do not pick up assessments atomatically
