What is it?
Yoga & Mindfulness classes for children aged 5-12 in Bristol. Learning through play, games, storytelling, mini meditations, crafts & mindfulness practices!
We will be creating a fun, welcoming and inclusive space where children will be introduced to yoga through games & storytelling, whilst learning mindfulness and age appropriate techniques to help them relax, focus and find calm in times of stress and challenges (exams, sleep anxiety, anger/grief/fear etc.).
It's becoming more and more widely known that the most effective way of learning is through play; for this reason, ensuring that children are enjoying themselves and having fun is vital part of 'Wild Feet' classes. Sessions include games, team building activities, crafts & storytelling to introduce yoga poses & mindfulness practices to the children, as well as meditations, visualisations & discussion-based sharing of feelings and experiences.
As children's bodies are still developing at this age, the focus is not to reach the 'perfect body position' or hold a pose for more than a couple of seconds. Rather than that, we practice coordination and balance, problem solving both independently and in groups, awareness of our bodies and their needs, relaxation & concentration techniques and more.
Drop in classes are £6 each and pre-paid 6-week blocks are £32.
