More About The Organisation
The Parent Support Service is run by a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. The service provides practical, professional guidance to parents and child therapy. Face-to-face parenting support is available in Bristol and the surrounding area and email and phone support is also offered. Psychological therapy for children and adolescents uses a brief solution-focused approach to empower young people with practical strategies for resolving the difficulties they are facing.
Therapeutic approaches used include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy. For traumatic memories, eye movement desentisation and reprocessing (EMDR) is offered. Fees are detailed on the service website.
