More About The Organisation
Home-Start Bristol is a voluntary home-visiting scheme for families with children under five where there are difficulties or stress. Most families are referred to us by Health Visitors or Social Workers, but families may ring us themselves if they have heard of us through friends or neighbours. Visits usually take place for a couple of hours once a week and may consist of: chatting over a cup of tea, playing with the children, a walk in the park, giving a parent a break, helping with small domestic tasks or many other activities. Visits will be carried out by our volunteers, who are nearly all parents.
