About Us

Confidential counselling and psychotherapy for young people between the ages of 9 and 25. There is no restriction to the issues you may bring or the number of sessions you can have. We ask clients to make a contribution that they can afford, and they decide how much, to covering our costs. Telephone for a set of our intake forms, or download from the website - under 'Contact Us'. Return them to us and a counsellor will contact you.

They make an appointment

We use intake and contract forms tha thte client completes. When we recieve them a counsellor is allocated and contacts the cient to make a mutually convenient appointment. Follow on appoiontments are usually at the same time and place each week.

If referral then by whom? For example, Social Worker, School, Doctor, Self-referral?

Essentially self referral. We ask for parent to countersign the forms for a young person under the age of 18. Initial referrals are also made by GPs, schools and other agencies.

Because we do not limit the number of sessionsa client may have we can not predict the availability of spaces accurately. We endeavor to maintain capacity to respond to urgent requests.

Costs

Are there any costs to the user for your service?
Costs

We ask clients to make a contribution to meeting our costs. They chose the amount to pay and they can chose to change that if circumstances change. We do nt turn away clients or select on the basis of ability, or inability to pay.
