About Us

Focus on Careers in the West of England gives accessible information on careers, qualifications, local further and higher education courses and apprenticeships.

Who’s it for?
As well as students aged 14 to 19, it will also help teachers, parents and carers, and careers advisers to support the decisions that need to be made throughout years 9-12.

What does it cover?
Focus on Careers covers 13 key employment sectors, with information on the full range of learning routes. It also reflects the sectors covered by new Diplomas, which are increasingly available in schools and colleges.

West of England Area Prospectus
Focus on Careers can also be used alongside the new local area prospectus, called Futures4Me, offering a clear and informative guide to learning choices.

Careers Learning Resources
A series of careers lesson plans are also available to support Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEE) in schools.
