More About The Organisation
Cancer Help for Minority Ethnic Communities (CHEC) aims to meet the support, cultural and practical needs of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) cancer patients and their carers. The service works with BME people affected by cancer, at any stage of the illness. The service is available for people living in Bristol or South Gloucestershire and home visits are available. CHEC can help with advice, information, advocacy, language, emotional and practical support.
The organisation will also help arrange cancer awareness events for community groups and organisations.
Referrals are welcome from patients or anyone involved in the care of a patient including carers and family. Referral forms are available on request. Individuals, community and statutory groups wishing to be involved or learn more should contact the development worker.
