More About The Organisation
Bristol Autism Project provides family holiday activities for children and young people with ASD and their siblings. It runs an 11 years plus group and 11 years and under group, each holiday. Parents are responsible for their own children but the Project organise and facilitate the activities, all of which are free. Workers provide help and back up if needed. Self referrals are accepted. Once families are on the Project they are sent a timetable before each holiday so that they can book their place. The Project also provides and intervention service for families at risk of breakdown, this is by social worker referral only. Many of the Project's activities are booked into venues where they have exclusive access. Activities include cinema trips, bowling, sailing and swimming. Exclusive use of Hop, Skip and Jump for younger children and laser fusion and climbing for the older group. Volunteers may be accepted to work with service users.
