More About The Organisation
The Avon Riding Centre is one of the largest purpose-built Horse Riding Centres for the Disabled in the UK. Disabled people can benefit from the opportunity to develop independence and happiness that learning to ride can bring. All ages from 4-70 years old are catered for with a wide range of different physical disabilities and learning difficulties. Places are offered following completion of application forms and individual assessment. A reduced fee is charged for riders with disabilities. Some able riders are also taken preferably with previous experience.

Who can use your service?
Children under 4 years old are probably too small in most cases. Adults aged 65 years plus and who are physically inactive may find riding too strenuous and tiring (decisions made on full assessment). Potential riders must have basic 'head control' and 'sitting balance'.
