More About The Organisation
A school with over 430 years of distinguished history. We are the only Church of England VA Secondary School in the city and diocese, and students are admitted following the application of the Governors' policy on admissions, details of which are included on our website.
Our success was recognised by our last government inspection that described us as "an outstanding Church of England School" where "the quality of Christian concern for staff and students is remarkable". This leads to "a very good education" in which "pupils make good progress and attain high standards". 87% of our students achieved 5A*-C grades at GCSE last summer (2010) and 70% achieved 5A*-C (including English and Maths).
Our past, present and future success is rooted firmly in our Christian ethos. Each member of our school community is created by God and our aim is to achieve our full potential. All we do is rooted in this Hope of who we are as people and who we can become.
