More About The Organisation
The aim of this group is to provide parents and carers of children and adults on the autistic spectrum with a bit of a break from the fairly full-on parenting experience we are all going through.
It also provides the opportunity to meet new people and make new connections in a welcoming and friendly group.
Each of us has wisdom to share: how we are coping, what services and/or benefits we are accessing, the best places to go for X, etc. This group meets in the evenings to accommodate people who work, and/or who would like to go out of an evening without their child/ren.
Are you open during term time?
Are you open during school holidays?
How do people access your service?
This group meets on the third Thursday of each month at The Quaker Meeting House in Wedmore Vale, Bedminster BS3 5HX. We meet from 8pm until around 10pm. This is a fully accessible building with a small car park and plentiful on-street parking.
If referral then by whom? For example, Social Worker, School, Doctor, Self-referral?
Do you have a waiting list?
We do not charge to attend but would appreciate a discretionary donation to cover the cost of room hire, insurance, etc. The suggested donation is £3 each meeting. There is a discrete donation box in the meeting room.
