More About The Organisation
Dyslexia Assist is a newly formed small charity set up by a group of parents who have struggled with supporting their children throughout their education. Our main aim is to share advice and learning tips in an informal and accessible way and invite others to work with us to build a relevant and useful resource for both parents and children.
The children section and blogs have the text loaded as audio files, and videos so that all users can access the content, with aim for parents and children to contribute and the web site to grow and develop organically.
One of our aims is to be able to give parents access to a list of qualified tutors that other parents and children can recommend. The section marked ‘tutors’ asks tutors to participate by giving their tutees a simple questionnaire, the aim of which will not be to assess the quality of the teaching but to look at overall satisfaction with their experience, ie a friendly tutor who understands the needs of the children.
